Hey fellas, it's the Slowstack, and I've recently started watching Marvel's Defenders. This show starts off really slow, but it's starting to pick up traction. It starts off with each character (Jessica Drew, Danny Rand, Matt Murdock, and Luke Cage) all doing their own thing. Luke just got out of jail (watch his original series if you want to find out why), Danny is searching for members/ supporters of the Hand (again, watch his original series to find out who the hand is), and Matt is helping Jessica in a court case (you know what, just watch all of their original series' to find out their backstories).
Eventually Jessica starts watching Matt, and finds out that he has super powers. Luke is helping out a kid, but Danny stands in his way, actually, that was a funny scene. So Iron Fist starts to punch and kick Luke, but it does nothing, Luke kinda just stands there looking at Danny. Danny then summons the power of his Iron Fist, and knocks Luke Backwards. Anyway, after this, one of Luke's friends, know Danny's friend, and they meet each other. Of course they don't like each other, but they learn to get along. Thats where I left off. This show is really neat, With character from different backgrounds, each character with their own personality, I really like it. I am a little disappointed that the Punisher won't be a part of the Defenders, because HE WAS AWESOME in Daredevil. This adaptation of Punisher was outstanding, much better than any other film adaptation of Punisher. The other Punishers, had feeling, which is crucial for Punisher. Punisher is on a mission, to kill all evil doers. This Punisher also has a Brooklyn accent, which I think is fitting for the Punisher. One of my favorite scenes with him, was a courtroom scene. I do have a problem with Luke Cage though, he says the N-word, a bit too much. I get it, he's black, and in modern society, but that's not what he was like in the comics at all! He was created to show that black people can be good people too, not to go around throwing the N-word like an uneducated idiot. Gah! Well, i'm going to stop talking and let you check it out. Hey there boys and girls, it's Drew here, today I'm going to be talking about a Hulu original miniseries I just recently finished watching with my parents called 11.22.63. This show is very good, and without giving too much away I will say that it has a lot of historical insight while also providing a suspenseful thrill ride. I definitely recommend this show to anyone who likes science-fiction, historical fiction, or Stephen King movies/books.
