This is a segment we want to try to make weekly called "Wadda ya Think?". We try to pitch our stupid ideas of what we think would make goods video games. Leave a comment saying if you wanna keep seeing these in the future. Enjoy! Everyone is a *ahem* a critic nowadays. So I think it's about time we pitch some ideas for games that would be pretty good. I'm Andrew from watchmojo.com and here's a good idea for a video game. The Thing: The Game Alright boys and girls, ya know that one game everyone talks about? Ya know the one 'bout the guy with the axe, and he chops up all the naughty kids at the spooky camp in da woods? If you don't know what I'm talking about I'm talking about "Friday the 13th". I'll be honest when this was announced I was really excited. When the game released it was buggy and hard to handle, regardless this game was still fun. The game does a really good job of making the surrounding feel authentic. You feel isolated, helpless, and afraid. There is a mechanic in the game where when Jason is close the game makes creepy sounds and distorts your screen. They do this the make it obvious where the killer is, to scare the player and make you intimidated. But imagine (if you would), if you weren't aware of the killer? What if you were always on edge and paranoid? What if you were willing to kill your friend out of distrust? Well boys and girls I present to you "The Thing: The Game". If you haven't seen this movie stop reading this and go watch this movie, its one of the best decisions you will make in this short life time. First let's put this into play on paper. I imagine the game to be like murder from g mod. The killer is roaming around trying to kill everyone while not being seen, but because the monster is a shapeshifter you can take the form of the victims you've already killed. In the Friday the 13th game there is multiple ways to win as survivors, you can escape, wait out the timer, or struggle to kill jason. Now let's compare the setting a forest, and the middle of nowhere Antarctica. Antarctica, isolated, quiet, nowhere to run. The only way to win is to outsmart and kill...The Thing. Well boy howdy I get chills just thinkin' bout' it. Well this was my weekly thought, leave a comment of what you think would make a good game. Until then this is Andrew from did you know gaming signing off. Have a wonderful day you low life millennial!

Hello! I'm the Slowstack, and I'm new to this blog, so let me introduce myself, with my favorite browser game. Slay. One is a 2D multiplayer shooter game, it's free, and an all around great game. I play this game, on a daily basis. The game used to be just a normal game; create a clan and play some games. Over the past five months, this game went under MAJOR changes: a new gamemode was added, new skins were available, new maps. in the past two months, it added something I don't like: skins, are cards that you unlock through chests. How do you acquire chests? You have to play a full game all the way through, which can take 10-30 minutes. ANYWAYS, This game is awesome. The gameplay is ALWAYS smooth, and clean. The community is actually pretty nice, and non-toxic. I can talk, all that I want, but the only way for you to know how good this game is, is playing it. There are five game modes currently (FFA, Ranked FFA, Infection, CTF, and TDM), all of which are wholesome fun. I really enjoy this game, so give this game a play or two. Slay. One
Just recently I picked up the critically acclaimed and massively loved online shooter, Overwatch. I had played this game very briefly, and I did enjoy it, but I was convinced that the game would quickly get old and was not worth the sixty dollar price tag. That was until my good friend, Andrew, promised to buy one of my favorite multiplayer games if I bought one of his favorite multiplayer games, and then there you have it. Overwatch was very difficult and challenging from the start, unless you play against offline enemies, and there was a distinct balance in the playable character's abilities that made the game feel very fair, fluid, and unique all on its own. The distinct cartoon-ish style of the game's visuals seemed a bit lazy to me at first, but I definitely warmed up to it once I started playing more of the game. Overwatch has a very large community of players, and at first this meant only bad news to me, but after becoming one of the game's many fans after playing it non-stop for a week straight, I can say that the fan base really isn't that awful. It's always a pity when a great show or video game has an absolutely horrendous fan base, and though Overwatch has some bad parts to its community, it's really large enough to have a wide selection of people from everywhere. Overwatch has a very expansive lore, and though I have trouble seeing how it ties into the game and the way its played, it is pretty cool to watch the animated videos that fill in on the backstory of the characters everyone loves playing as. The animation is top-notch, the voice-acting is mediocre, but the animation really makes the voice-acting almost irrelevant. I definitely think this is a bigger pro than it is a con, and I appreciate Blizzard's dedication to their games. RATING: 9/ 10 |
